ADA Title II Compliance Program
In order to meet Federal requirements for a barrier-free educational system, Chicago Public Schools embarked on a plan to provide accessibility for its 421,000 students in 623 schools. AltusWorks was one of a select team of architecture firms charged with implementing this ambitious plan. AltusWorks was selected because of the firm’s strong understanding of accessibility laws, building codes and CPS design and technical guidelines, as well as its proficiency in facility assessments, renovation solutions and project management.
