FACTS Assessment for CPS
As part of the Project Management Team for Chicago Public Schools (CPS), AltusWorks led in the development, management and implementation of a city-wide process called Facility Assessment Cost Tracking System (FACTS). The goal was to provide CPS with a comprehensive overview of the condition of over 600 school buildings, as well as the costs of needed repairs. The FACTS process evaluated the condition and anticipated service life of individual buildings through detailed assessments of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems. In addition to designing the process and evaluation criteria, AltusWorks managed cost estimates for the proposed work, as well as selected, trained and managed other FACTS team members. |
