Renovation and Restoration:
YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago
The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago hired AltusWorks to provide architectural services for two of its large multi-use facilities, South Chicago and South Suburban. Both buildings are in excess of 140,000 s.f. and serve a variety of purposes, providing senior residences, daycare centers, and fitness facilities. AltusWorks conducted a full assessment for each property, including a room-by-room survey identifying accessibility and renovation needs for a total budget of $16M. Based on the assessments, AltusWorks recommended a scope of work that addressed priority items and met the budget of $2M per facility. The firm produced construction documents and administrated the construction process, completing the project within the client’s desired schedule and budget. |
