Real Estate Careers Reflect Stronger Economy

Mara Braspenninx recently returned to her alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, to speak to students about careers in real estate. Organized by Donna Pugh of Foley and Lardner, Mara was one of five panelists sharing expertise on career options and tips to prepare for jobs post-graduation.

The student majors varied, including architecture, law and finance, reflecting a renewed interest in real estate as a viable career option, and an indicator of a stronger economy.

Mara has been an architect for 11 years and joined AltusWorks in 2011. She is also active in Alpha Rho Chi, a national fraternity for Architecture and the allied arts, serving as the National Vice President.
