On June 14, 2017, Joakim (Joa) Bäckström was inducted into the Ely Chapter of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary society focused on land-use economics for his outstanding contribution ‘to advancing architecture and design that positively influence civic life and transforms communities regionally and internationally’.
