The Learning Agreement Definition
As part of the credit mobility organization, students and university staff must enter into trilateral learning agreements that form the basis for the recognition of university qualifications acquired abroad. As indicated by the PRIME survey conducted by the Erasmus 2010-2011 student network, apprenticeship agreements are a cornerstone and at the same time constitute a major obstacle to the proper organisation of credit mobility. Indeed, the interlocutors are not clearly defined, the information necessary to implement the agreements is rarely available online and the possibility for students to change their apprenticeship agreement after their arrival in the receiving higher education institutions is 75%. In the same survey, some National Agencies LLP proposed to create an online tool for the preparation, approval and revision of learning agreements in an online environment, and this is what this project intends to do. With regard to the mobility of students for internships, the apprenticeship contract should define how the internship is recognised, depending on whether it is counted in the student`s diploma, on a voluntary basis (not compulsory for the diploma) or by a recently graduated graduate. The training contract should include all learning gains that the student must obtain during the exchange. Note that after the introduction of the ESHE, Spanish universities follow the 4-1 system (4-4 years of bachelor`s degree – 1 year of postgraduate studies) that, in many cases, European students enrolled in a master`s degree can take the bachelor`s courses in our 4th year, since they correspond to the first year of other European masters, but they cannot take official masters. This condition does not apply to students nominated for a specific master`s degree under the bilateral master`s agreement between the two partner universities. For the mobility of students for studies, the training contract should define the group of educational components that will be replaced at the end of their studies abroad. See the guidelines below. ERASMUS students who wish to study at the University of Valencia do not need an official language certificate. However, it is highly recommended that candidates have a level of Spanish (equivalent B1 GER) before entering our university.
